Born and raised in Tunica, MS, an aspiring young man by the name of Percy Davis moved to Jackson in 1976 to attend JSU. While at JSU, he pursued a degree in Mass Communications. The accomplished radio personality is WOAD Program Director and morning show host in addition to hosting the midday show on Kixie 107. Percy, who has more than 20 years experience in radio, is an Ex- officio member of the Central Mississippi Sickle Cell Foundation, board member of Sandra Howard and Company Productions and winner of the 2003 Jackson Music Awards Gospel Announcer of the Year. Along with his duties at WOAD and WKXI, Percy helps coordinate station efforts with charities such as Toys for Tots and the Senior Citizens Christmas Drive. You can wake up singing "Hallelujah!" with Percy Davis Monday-Friday from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. with Early Morning Gospel.
