WHAT’S GOING ON ?   

A second suspect has been indicted in the death of 6 year old Kingston Frazier. Madison – Rankin County DA. Micheal Guest read the indictements during a press conference Thursday morning. And explained why only two of the suspects will face charges in circuit court. in the case of Dwan Wakefield there was a finding of probable cause and a recommendation he be  charged as an adult, and his case moved up to circuit court.

Vicksburg is finally geting some much needed fixs for it’s water treatment plant, Mayor George Flaggs said the city now has the money to do the improvements. They expect to put the project out for bids on Monday of next week. One of the major improvements will be replacing the antiquated electrical system. Plant Manager Eddie Busby said the manufacture has gone out of business so  some parts can’t be found.

Rumors are circulating again that lawmakers might be thinking about tinkering with the so called “13 check” that retired state employees look forward to each year. The 3% cost of living adjestment is added to retirees benefits each year in the form of an extra check in the month of December. The 13th check was first authorized by the Mississppi Legislatature in 1966 and was amended in 1999 to include an automatic 3% annual benefit adjustment.

Kids Zone is a place where kids can be kids while learning about Jesus. kids and teens  facilitators participate in Praise and Worship, group lessons, games , crafts and more. lunch is also provided. The annual  Creig Bluntson WOAD/WKXI Senior Citizens Christmas Food Drive get underway friday November 24th and 25th at Mcdade’s supermarket in Westland Plaza and Food Depot on Northside Drive. The drive will expand to the Food Depot on Terry Rd. and the Cash Saver on Raymond Rd.
