We are a nation of contrasts, thoughts and opinions are all over the place about any given subject but there are somethings we can all agree with. President Donald J. Trump upset the Twitterverse yesterday with the way he decided to marked the 18th anniversary of the September 11th terroist attacks. He fired off a picture of himself and his wife Melania with their backs turned to the camera and a bold caption “WE WILL NEVER FORGET” 9.11.01. This might have been considered appropriate or even patriotic except for his recent Taliban faux pas. Just three days before 9/11 he was talking about canceling a secret U.S. – Taliban meeting at Camp David. The Twitterverse lit up with responses like ” Except when you invite the #Taliban to Camp David three days before #911 anniversary. #Trump #neverforget”. Some sorces say the Taliban representatives weren’t keen on coming to Camp David anyway, maybe they remembered that this was not a good time to be coming to the U.S. Critics also recalled Trumps history of making insensitive and untruthful statements about the attacks. And his starting the day ranting about China and his trade war as opposed to talking about 911. Wow you can’t make this stuff up.
