BARR IN CONTEMPT TERRIFIC THURSDAY WOAD 05/09/19
RANDOM THOUGHT’S:
“To coin a pharse” Even Stevie Wonder saw this coming, In the wake of US. Attorney General William Barr refusing to appear before a House sub-committee or turn over the full un-redacted Mueller report . The House Judiciary committee has voted to find him in contemp. Barr won’t be going to jail or anything like that though. Barr says he can’t turn over the report because is contains grand jury testimony that is illegal to make public without the permission of the witnesses. Most think it’s because the President dosen’t want him to. The White House would have to authorize a criminal contempt charge against Barr in this case and we know thats not going to happen under President Trumps watch.
What no one saw coming was the subpoena for Donald Trump Jr. from the Senate Intelligence Committee chaired by Sen. Richard Burr (R-NC) This Senate committee has been conducting it’s own investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 election for more than two years. Trump Jr. testified before both the Senate Intelligence Committee and the Senate Judiciary Committee in 2017 Apparently there are some questions about Don Jr’s earlier testimony to senate investigators that the committee wants to clear up. I actually would have expected a request like this from the House Judiciary Committee.
