RANDOM THOUGHT’S

Well with the first the first Democratic Debate just days aways Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt) has trown a rock into a room full of cats, He is perposing to eliminate $1.6 trillion worth of student loan debt. Including public and private school as well as graduate school debt.He also wants to make public universities, community colleges and trade schools tuition free. Sanders has long been known for putting forth ideas that sound good but likely won’t have the support of a majority of lawmakers needed to make it law. He says it could be paid for with a tax on Wall Street, his campaign says the tax would raise $2 trillion over ten years. Some folks are saying their math is off, but the idea is to wipe the slate clean for 45 million Americans. Sanders is being joined by Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn) and Rep. Parmila Jayapal of Washington state, who has fought to make public universities tuition free. Sanders first spoke of this during the 2016 presidential campaign. Other canidates will now feel compelled to support his plan or come up with one of their own. Speaking as a parent of two students with student loans plus the parent plus loans in my name I pray for some relief or forgiveness. What Sanders is asking for may be more than what the system can handel with increased military spending and the 100 million for President Trumps golf trips. Congress may not be ready to entertain a new bill with this big of a price tag.
