RANDOM THOUGHTS:

Black Panther the biggist grossing film of 2018 is back in theaters for a limited time. In honor of Black History Month the Walt Disney Company is showing the movie free February 1st through 7th in 250 AMC theaters across the U.S. The movie which features a predominately black cast has won a SAG award and is nominated for 7 Oscars including Best Picture . Disney chairman and CEO Robert A. Iger said “Black Panther is ground breaking for many reasons, including the rich diversity of voices behind it’s success”. ” The story also showcases the power of knowledge to change the world for the better, and the importance of ensuring everyone has access to it”. According to Iger Disney will also donate 1.5 million to the United Negro College Fund an organization which has been in the forefront helping minority students go to college. To find a participating theater go to “WeTicketit.com/BlackPanther”. Ok i’m feeling the Mouse today! this is a nice gesture for the kick off of black history month, and the gift to the UNCF is appreciated. I’m sure these moves will be remembered when the next installment of the Black Panther franchise hits theaters.
