We want our children to be succeed in the classroom but they need the right tools and supplies to do it. So Jackson Public Schools is hosting a school supply drive to help teachers create the ideal learning enviorment in their classroom. Each year a lot of teachers buy school supplies out of their own pocket for their classroom and some students who can’t afford them. JPS is hosting a community school supply drive  to support the teachers. Donations will be collected June 4th throughJune 6th at theJPS Morrison Complex located at 1224 Eminence Row. Items needed run the gambit from paper towels and folders to binders and crayons plus everything in between.The JPS Office of partners in Education has partnered with the Women for Progress of Mississippi to host this event. Lead partners on this project include Walmart and Kroger I-55 location.

Thw Mississippi Southern First Jurisdictional COGIC World Missions has teamed up with Mississippi Network to sponsor the “Yes We Can Food Drive” with collection dates June 10 – 13th. Member churches are asked to donate 20 can goods or more. The food will be distributed to all 16 districts and the MS Food Network, to support Seniors, Shelters,Storm victums and schools.

KidsZone held the 3RD Saturday in each month at St. Luther M.B. Church 1040 st. Jackson MS. and you are invited to bring your children ages 3-12. Kids Zone is a place where kids can be kids while learning about Jesus. kids and teens  facilitators participate in Praise and Worship, group lessons, games , crafts and more. lunch is also provided.
