IMPEACHMENT WOAD 09/25/19
One of President Donald J. Trump’s nightmares has come true, House Democrats have started a formal impeachment inquiry. Which is the fact finding process that has to take place before articules of Impeachment can be filed. This will definitely be along party lines. A group of newly elected democrats in the House have been pushng Nancy Pelosi on this since they took the oath of office. And the idea has picked up speed in the last two weeks with reports that Trump asked the President of the Ukraine for help digging up dirt on former Vice President Joe Biden’s Son as many as eight time during one phone call. This has been confirmed by a Five page memo released Wednesday by the White House summarizing the call which took place July 25th of this year. While House Democrats may well have enough votes to pass an impeachment resolution, Senate Republicans under the leadership of Senator Mitch McConnell are circling the wagons and standing by their man. Vowing to to quash any inpeachment articles sent to them. While I appreciate the enthusiasm of the new congress people I question if even this latest Presidential faux pas will be enough. I actually believe that a former President Trump will be indicted on something a lot less sexier than inviting a foreign country to meddle in U.S. politics.
