The old phrase “there’s nothing new under the sun”, dosen’t quite hold true anymore. Let’s start at home with the Jackson Zoological Park debacle, for years crumbing infrastructure and aging exhibits led to declining attendance. Forcing the board to ask city leaders for more and more dollars to avert repeated finanical crises. then there is the case of $350.000 in misappropriated funds plus the city says the zoo owes $6 million in unpaid water bills. In the wake of selecting a new managment group to oversee the zoo the city had to get a restraining order to stop the Zoological Society from moving any of the animals at the zoo, the 15 members of the group are scheduled to appear in Hinds County Chancery Court September 30th. If I were a member of this I would likely go Vegan!. In Washington things are crazy! The Democrats have launched an impeachment inquiry on President Trump, Speaker Nancy Pelosi had to take off the breaks after the report of the president asking the Ukraine president to dig up dirt on former Vice President Joe Biden and his son. Biden is of course viewed as a likely opponent for Trump in the upcoming presidential election. Yesterday a summery of the phone call between the two presidents was released, and it confirmed that Trump asked the Ukraine leader several times for assistance with the matter. This morning President Trump dragged Vice President Mike Pence into the quagmire when he said “I think you should ask for Vice President Pence’s conversation because he had a couple of conversations also”. He then added that he and Pence would be exonerated in this matter. don’t you hate it when your boss throws you under the bus?
KidsZone held the 3RD Saturday in each month at St. Luther M.B. Church 1040 st. Jackson MS. and you are invited to bring your children ages 3-12. Kids Zone is a place where kids can be kids while learning about Jesus. kids and teens facilitators participate in Praise and Worship, group lessons, games , crafts and more. lunch is also provided.
