JSU FOOTBALL WOAD 10/07/19
By now JSU Head Coach John Hendrick knows that The Jackson State Nation is not comfortable with a losing record. Past sucess going back to the days of W. C. Gorden and his assistants who went on the hold the head job at JSU has made us intolerant of a losing. Many point to the hiring of that guy name Bell as the beginnging of the programs downward spiral. The Tigers were tested by Grambling State Saturday, a test they failed. I can appreciate Coach Hendricks accepting responsibility for the Tigers not being up to the task, and recognizing that he needs to be more involved in the game plan on both sides of the ball. Grambling exposed some glaring problems with the JSU Defense running up 325 yards while averaging over 7 yards per carry, you just can’t win letting this happen. Plus there are still questions with the quarterback position . And as difficult as it is for us fans watching this it’s doubly so for the athletes on the field. In the post game press conference Hendricks said that JSU has Talent thats not a problem, but he and the other coaches have to do a better job. Hopefully they can pull it all together by Staurday it’s homcoming and the beginning of SWAC play.
