This whole scenario regarding Jussie Smollett’s claim of being the victum of a hate crime is in a word bizzarre! Smollett is young talented actor on the hit televison show Empire. Everything seems to have been going his way just when network T.V. accepted that gay people watched their shows and should be representated on screen. About three weeks ago Smollett told Chicago police he had been the victum of a terrible hate crime, during which he was subjected racial epithets and anti-gay slurs and had a noose was put around his neck and bleach was poured on his face , a fire storm of support came in from the entertainment industries A-list as well as some of the declared presidential canidates. Then reports surfaced that Smollett didn’t fully cooperate with police after the alleged attack. Ploice couldn’t find any surveillance video of the attack, but did pickup two brothers for questioning. They were released two days later and are no longer considered suspects. On Wednesday Smollett was charged with felony disorder conduct, a charge that is punishable by a sentence of up to three years in prison if convicted. He could also be forced pay for the cost of the investigation. There is no rhyme or reason for this, of course one of my music industry friends said that Smollett has a song out that was not doing that great. Since news of the alledged attack broke the digital streams for the song are up significantly. Just makss say humm..
