It was win number 222 on 02/02/2020 for NFL coach Andy Reid and his first Super Bowl as a head coach. I personally was torn because I liked both teams, I have been a 49er fan since the days of Jerry Rice and Joe Montana. I became a Kansas City fan after Breeland Speaks the nephew of one of my college roommates made the roster. According to a story appearing the Kansas City Star newspaper the course to last nights come from behind victory started right after last years Super Bowl, on the Monday following that game Kansas City Quaterback Patrick Maholmes sent his trainer a text stating that he wanted to start training then. the code name for the plan was “Resiliency”. Apparently the whole team shared and believed in this mantra and it was evident last night as they staged their come from behind rally against the San Francisco 49er’s an equally explosive and dynamic team. All season the Chiefs have put together inconceivable wins over tough opponents, often coming from behind snatching victory from defeat. No doubt this win coming 50 years after their first Super Bowl win is oh so sweet as the NFL celebrates 100 years. By the way Maholmes became the youngest NFL MVP in 35 years.
