Robert Mueller is going to talk to congress tomorrow. But he’s not going to tell everything. on Monday the Justice Department sent Mueller a letter telling him not to answer question on a number of topics. The letter came from Associate Deputy Attorney General Bradley Weinsheimer in responce to a request from Mueller for guidance on how to handel questions concerning privilege information or other legal bars applicable to potential testimony. Weinsheimer went on to say that the Department agreed with Mueller that his testimony should not be necessary under current circumstances. He did specifically say that there should be no testimony concerning the redacted portions of the public version of the report. “I’m beginning to wonder how many versions of this this report are there”. He also reminded Mueller that the prosecution of Trump adviser Roger Stone and a separate case are still awaiting trial, and local court rules and specific orders issued in those cases restrict the Departments ability to make public statements about the cases. My take on this, all of this likely played a part in Mueller not wabting to testify. This Executive Privilege thing is creating a legal minefield for those testifying. I’m sorry President keeps insisting that there was Russian collusion but keeps acting like he got something to hide! what’s up?.
