RANDOM THOUGHT’S:

Monday May 27th Jackson Police officer James Hollins took his own life. This would have been tragic under any circumstance, but Hollins has just been suspended from the force after being accused of sexual misconduct with a minor. The childs mother discovered a video of his alleged actions and along with her attorney presented it to Police Chief James Davis on Sunday. He contacted Mayor Chokwe A. Lumumba and recommended that Hollins be suspended, while they launched an investigation. Attorney Lisa Ross is representing the teen, says the officer had sex with the teen at a Comfort Inn off High Street and at an abandoned building near a city park. During a debrifing Sunday Ross says the young called and spoke to the girls mother and confessed. which she said really shocked her. Ross said she has little faith in the Jackson Police Department investigation and plans to persue legal action against all parties. Chief Davis said he contacted Internal Affairs, placed the officer on leave and asked the mother and daughter to come to headquarters to talk with the major investigation division, to start the criminal investigation. In my opinion there are no winners in a situation like this, only losers yes the officers dirty secret was discovered, but a childs innocence has been stripped away and now she has to deal with the fact that he took his life, her mom is likely thinking how could this have gone on so long and I not know. And how does his family deal with the loss? grief, anger and sorrow all at the same time it’s a heavy burden to bear..
