RANDOM THOUGHT’S: IT AINT RIGHT!

After Congress and Mexico said no to spending billions on a wall along the southern U.S. border, President Trump declared a national emergency  giving him access to funds from the mititary construction budget. On Wednesday the Pentagon announced the funding fron 127 Defense projects around the globe would be pulled, as it diverts $3.6 billion dollars to pay for Trumps wall. This ill-advised but lawful order among other things diverts money from schools for the children of U.S. service members at home and abroad even a daycare center at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland – home of Air Force One. The Pentagon spokes offical said they were working closely with congress and allies to find funding to replace money diverted to the wall project, but nothing is certain. Their taking the first 1.8 billion from projects outside the United States. The largest project to take a hit in the U.S. is the engineering center at at the U.S. Military Acedemy at West Point, their pulling 95 million from the construction budget. House Speaker  Nancy Pelosi said the diversion of military funds “will undermine our national security, quality of life and morale of our troups and that makes America less safe”. I agree I never served but having three brothers who did I am aware of the sacrifices these families are asked to make. How can we ask service members to tiptoe around IED’s and play hide & seek with the Taliban and not be willing to provide decent support for their families back home or abroad. Everyone knows this wall thing is about President Trump making good on a campaign promise that he hopes will insure his re-election. If he ran his companies the way he has the country it’s no wonder he’s filed for bankruptcy a time or two.
