There is a showdown looming in Washington D.C., this main event pits the new Democratic lead House of Represenatives against the White House. The Point Guards on these teams are President Donald Trump and Democratic Rep, Nancy Pelosie. Pelosie is a veteran lawmaker, Trump is a neophyte learning his way. Trump triggered a goverment shutdown when he refused to sign a short term spending bill to fund government agencies. Thus setting the stage for a showdown with Pelosie also was elected “Speaker of the House” yesterday placing her third in line to the presidency. In the unlikly event Trump left office and V.P. Mike Pence could not serve she would become president. The sticking point between the two is funding for the so called “Border Wall”, Trump is asking for 5 bilion dollars to build it. While making reference to it White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said this morning “The president isn’t going to back off”. Meanwhile  Pelosie and other democrats remain opposed to a wall, and are asking the president Trump and Senate Republicans to separate the border wall and government funding. Suggesting that governinment agencies be allowed to return to work and border wall talks continue. This is a sensiable solution, even V.P. Pence suggested as little as 2 billion for the wall The President has to realize he’s not building another Trump Tower and this is the peoples money he’s wanting to spend.
