30.000 Teachers are on strike in California, 800.000 Federal workers didn’t get a pay check friday and a passanger got a gun past TSA workers recently. whats the world coming to?. The Teachers walked out after two years of negotiations, they want smaller classes some class rooms have up to 40 students in them. They also are asking for a pay raise and nurses in the schools. Some of the 800.000 federal workers have turned to local food banks to feed their fanilies, or pawning items to make ends meet as the government shutdown drags on. These people have house, car and utility payments due. And from what I have heard they have recivied some pretty week suggestions on how to cope with getting no pay check, like offering to do some painting for you landlord or walking dogs. Some have found it to be more profitable to drive for Lift or Uber. And I also can imagine that there may be a few more Airbnbs out there. The TSA gun incident happen before the shutdown went into effect, but its disturbing with the long lines now being seen at at major airports. Teachers in Mississippi and California need to be able to make a decient living especially since many of them often spend their own money buying supplies for their classroom’s, While working to turn our kids into little Einsteins. I can’t help but wonder how thorough I would be on a job if I was required to put in the work but didn’t know when I would be paid. This makes an already stressful job even more difficult…Prayers for them all.
