With all the shootings, impeachment proceeding, and other negatives stuff how about something positive today?. WOAD 1300AM AND 103.5FM along with our sister station WKXI KIXIE 107 will wrap up the 38th annual Craig Bluntson WKXI/WOAD Senios Citizens Christmas Drive this Saturday, with volunteers at the Food Depots on Northside Dr. and Terry Road as well as the Cash Saver on Raymond Road in Jackson MS.at the corner of Raymond road and McDowell. As usual we will be accepting your donations of cash ,can goods and non-perishable food items. Donations from the public and our various corporate partners allow us to provide food for hundreds of seniors each year, and we are able to provide enough food to last several days. Some of the civic minded organizations who have consistently helped make this happen include the Hinds Alumni chapter pf Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity, Sollie B. Norwood Lodge 699 and it’s associated Court. St. Luther M.B. Church, as well as New Caney Creek M.B. Church and the Brooks W. Stewart VFW Post. We are hoping to serve at least 400 seniors this year, and we are inviting everyone to to join us in this effort. We will start at 9:00AM Saturday morning and will be broadcasting live during the day. I CAN’T THINK OF A BETTER WAY TO SPEND PART OF THE HOLIDAYS.
