RANDOM THOUGHT’S:

Whats going o with our children? here in Jackson Mississippi several juveniles were taken into custody after the carjacked sedan they were riding in crashed after it collided with another vehicle near Universiy Drive. The white sedan was stolen just after 1:30pm in the Mill Street area on Wednesday. After being spotted on Lakeland Dr. around 5:30pm they attempted to flee and wrecked. they ran from the scene but were later apprehended and taken in for questing.Meanwhile a Fayetteville, North Carolina woman turned in her 13 year old son who escaped from police following a court appearance. The juvenile is charged with two counts of first -degree murder and robbery with a dangerous weapon. Officals had a concern for the safety of the public and the juvenile due to his history of assaultive and unpredictable behavior. Now thats a heck of a discription for a 13 year old, but it’s understandable in this case. But how did we get here in 2019? well a friend and former Director of the Mississippi Department of Human Services hypothesized that the problems were having with youth today started years ago in the 70’s when government legislated fathers out of the homes and lives of their children. Old social service programs like CETA would help single mothers with monthly checks and job training, as long as the fathers of their children were not in the picture. These program inadvertently broke up families and started a cycle that has yet to be broken. We keep saying it takes a village to raise a child, well that village starts with a Mother and Father!
