President Trump is in England today, he and Frist Lady Melania Trump will be staying at the U.S. ambassador’s residence in central London during their visit. They were recieved by the Queen at Buckingham Palace for a private lunch and welcoming ceremony. They will tour Westminster Abby and join Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall for tea at Clarence House. Talks with out going Prime Minister Theresa May will begin tomorrow, topics will likely include climate change and Chinese technology firm Huawei. All of this sounds very stateman like eventhough Mr. Trump is not wildly popular in the UK. and protests are planned in several cities during his three day visit including London, Manchester, Belfast and Birmingham. My take on this is;take the high road don’t do or say anything to fire up the neigh sayers, you know they are not impressed with you in the U.K. but nooooo! Before Air Force One landed he had to fire back at Sadiq Khan the Mayor of London, who said earlier they “should not roll out the red carpet” for Trump. The President called Khan “a Stone cole loser” then went on to say he was looking forward to his visit. Khan and President Trump have clashed before. Something tells me this will be a long three days for the U.K. God save the Queen and everybody else too.
