RANDOM THOUGHTS’S:

One would have to agree that between Executive orders and Tweets President Trump often gets what he wants. The latest example of the power of the tweet is Israels refusing to allow U.S. Reps. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn) and Rashida Tlaib (D- Mich) permission to visit the country  Sunday for a trip focused on reviewing the impact of recent U.S. policy changes and aid cuts for the Palestinians. This move came after President Trump tweeted Thursday that allowing them to visit would show great weekness. He is also quoted as saying that “Omar and Tlaib hate Israel and all Jewish people. and there is nothing that can be said or done to change their minds”. Apparently Israels Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is joined at the tweet with Trump and said that Tiaib and Omar are leading the charge in promoting anti-Israeli legislation in the American Congress. This would have been a fact finding mission for the two freshman congress women. The move as expected has drawn widespread criticism from Democratic lawmakers like Spearker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif) and Majority Leader Henry Steny (D-Md) Steny actually lobbied Israeli officals Wednesday to allow the lawmakers to visit. Even the pro-Israeli lobby AIPAC voiced support of the visit. Israel has since agreed to allow Tlaib to visit her 90 year old grand mother who lives in Beit Ur Fouqa, Tlaib made the humanitarian request and promised to respect restrictions and not promote boycotts during her visit. So now my question is will anyone from the U.S. congress get a look at whats going on with the Palestinians.
