This is John Q. Public, I thought I would share my thoughts on on some of the events of the last week in my own OPED.We have a new duly sworn in Supreme Court Justice. Brett Kavanaugh’s ascension to the bench was filled with high drama. There were three accusations of sexual misconduct, fueled by excessive drinking on Kavanaugh’s part, two of the charges were kinda explored during a special last minute FBI investigation, it was scheduled to last a week, but took only two days. No witnesses could be found to support Dr. Christine Blasey Ford’s claim that Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her, a couple of people she named said they were present but didn’t see anything. This whole process reaks of politics, even in his rebutal Kavanaugh conjured up the specter of the Clinton’s as he vehemently denied the charges his whole persona was that of an angry white man as he delivered a statement he wrote seemingly doing his best Lindsey Graham impression, filled with emotional vitriol saying he was upset that this family had heard the accusations levied against him. His responce also led some to wonder if he had the right temperment to sit on the court. He later apologized for his strong responce. Senators voted along party lines. one female member of the senate said in essence she belived something happened to Mrs Ford but since the FBI could not prove Kavanaugh did it she had to support his nomination. At the end of the day be ye Republicaian or Democrat they will tell us it’s all about an unbias interpretation of the law as it appears in our constutition. And I can live with that and I pray that Brett Kavanaugh will be good at it, but we are all human and Kavanaugh has revealed that he can be very human when angered..
